She leads on high value procurements and also worked on the other side of the table in 2010 to support the commercial side of the business to sell Weather Services to the media including the presenters seen on national television.
Until this year, Alison was also a Lay Member and vice chair of the Lord Chancellors Devon Advisory Committee responsible for the Appointment of Magistrates. Her remit covered the West and South Devon Bench Area, a position she held for seven years.
Now, she is lending her skills to the DASLS judging team when it meets later this month.
They will be choosing the shortlist in 14 categories, including new awards for Employer of the Year and the Rising Star Award.
This is the third time that DASLS has teamed up with Trinity Mirror South West to organise the event. Last year, more than 350 attended the gala dinner at Sandy Park to showcase the profession and celebrate practitioners.
The Solicitor of the Year Award went to Grace Bradley, The Family Law Company; the Legal Hero of the Year Award went to Tim Hook, Toller Beattie; and the Lifetime Achievement Award went to Michael Cosgrave of Wollen Michelmore.
The awards will conclude with a gala night at Sandy Park on Thursday, March 1, 2018.
