DASLS President Sue Aggett said: “I am pleased and proud to launch the Devon & Somerset Law Society Annual Dinner and Legal Awards 2018. This is the third year of these prestigious awards and the evening promises to be a spectacular event when we will celebrate the outstanding contributions that lawyers in Devon and Somerset make in supporting their clients, businesses and communities.
“Through the partnership of DASLS and DC Media, the Legal Awards, and consequently the legal profession within Devon and Somerset, has achieved a high public profile. Those individuals and firms that are shortlisted are given significant publicity across the two counties. Each year the standard of entry for these awards is very high and I am sure that will be the same for 2018.
“I urge you to start preparing your nominations now and celebrate with us the exceptional work that is carried out by lawyers in our region at the Annual Dinner on 1st March 2018 at Sandy Park, Exeter.”
Last year, more than 350 members of the legal profession came together at a gala dinner at Sandy Park to showcase th profession and celebrate practitioners.
The Solicitor of the Year Award went to Grace Bradley, The Family Law Company , the Legal Hero of the Year Award went to Tim Hook , Toller Beattie and the Lifetime Achievement Award went to Michael Cosgrave of Wollen Michelmore.
Judge Erik Salomonsen is returning to lead this year’s judging panel.
